This is a story of a father and sons love for cars, BMW's and especially the classic 2002. Patrick Burns' 1972 model is a particularly interesting example and reflects the passion behind it that he and his father share. It's not perfect, but that's not the point, it's enjoyed everyday and is still going strong after 40 years on the road. Wendell and Patrick are great guys, their dedication to cars is infectious and it has been a pleasure getting to know them.
Many thanks to Wendell and patrck Burns for their time and hospitality, and to my friend Dennis Burnett who helped with second camera twelve hours after returning from a trip to Hong Kong!
This is the second episode in a series I'm working on about cool cars and the stories behind them. I'm currently working on more episodes and am looking for any interesting car stories. If you have one, I'd love to hear about it! You can contact me by email at frazer@frazerspowart.net.

Comment by mark turner on September 15, 2012 at 3:38pm That's awesome. I love the character of the car, the rough edges and that it's not perfect. I hope one day my sons and me can share the same common interest like these two. Great car, great video.
