Well, i got the white rims.... i now got the Roger Clark stylee stripes in white thanks to our very own JimmyDrama and Definition Graphics, so i thought i would brighten up the inside of the gloomy sea of cheap grey and black plastic with some white dials bought from ebay.
we all know how plain the standard Impreza clock set looks
so after removing the four screws that hold the binicle in and disconnecting the wiring and speedo drive from the back i ws taken inside in the wrm and dismantled
now, in the pic you can see the two small red needles that are for the fuel and temp gauge. the speedo and rev needles came off with ease but the other two were very tight, so i got a pair of teaspoons underneath the needles to prize them off.... and snap!!! the bloody pins snapped half in the needle and half in the gauge basically rendering them scrap!!!!!
ive since tried everything to lash up a temp repair but its no good, i now have no fuel or temp readings till i get some replacements!!!!
so if anybody know of a WRX clock set going... let me know!!!
i fitted them anyway and they look alot better, but now have to keep one eye on the odometer and remember how much money i put in at the pump!!! 80 miles to £20.
