Volkswagen get prepared for the 2010 Dakar
As many of us prepare for a few weeks of excess, the VW Dakar team will be far from taking it easy as the 2010 Rally appraches. Next year, VW will be fielding an impressive five race-prepared Touaregs as they look to defend the title secured in 2009 by Giniel de Villiers and Dirk von Zitzewitz.
The rally starts on January 2nd will be held in the South American continent and is one of the most brutal races in the world covering 9000 kilometers in two weeks.
Piloting the remaing Touaregs will be Dakar veteran and rally legend Carlos Sainz with co-pilot Lucas Cruz. American, Mark Miller and Ralph Pitchford, Nasser Al-Attiya and Timo Gottschalk and the latest additions Mauricio Neves and Clecio Maestrelli.
