Something different: Part 6
It has been busy for the last couple of days. The best news is that the rear subframe is now mounted in the car!
You can find (pretty much) everything we done over the last days below.
Marking out the sections to cut out
Sections cut out
Holes drilled to fit the pins
Subframe pins cut to the size we needed them to be
Pins put in and welded up by Mark
Mark ended up cutting off the top section to raise the rear subframe up more and tagged into place
Room cut out of the chassis beams to allow the control arms to move up
Rear subframe sections with pins welded into place by Mark including sections to fix it all in place
Tucked the wiring to keep as much as possible out of sight (and out of the engine bay).
Put the headlights, indicators and front bumper on the car (front bumper has been drastically cut to fit the intercooler :p)
More that has been done this week (no pictures>boring bits)
Taken the engine apart, replacing gaskets and general check and cleanup
Next week more of this build :)
