Monster Energy - Gymkhana Grid - Snapshots from the setup.

Last Sunday saw Round 2 of the European Gauntlet of the Monster Energy Gymkhana Grid take place at Silverstone race circuit during the automotive show 'Trax'. 

The atmosphere was incredible from the get go, but before I tell you all about the actual event in another blog. I thought I'd do a quick entry now as I have a few shots off the iPhone that I wanted to share with you all from the Saturday setup day.

Remember that awesome Monster rig that alot of you were chilling in on the sunday? Well that had to start out as something...I tell you now watching these things be put together always amazes me, the organisation and method and amount of kit that is loaded into them is just incredible! 

So that's just the rig... the track layout still needed doing, and what does Gymkhana Grid have a lot of? Yep thats right... cones... soooooo many cones!

Luckily we had a support vehicle on hand in the shape of Alvins CRV... what a beauty ;) 

Once we'd finished getting the track into a rough shape, we had to call in some help. Luckily a whole load of BDC drivers were willing to assist us with the testing and fine tuning of our track layout.

Once testing was over the track was Ready for the Sunday. By this point it was late in the day, time for some much needed rest and copious amounts of pizza before the mayhem of Gymkhana Grid kicked off early Sunday morning... sunday, day of rest? yeeeeeaah right ;)
