Real Cars. Real Drivers, Real Performance

After getting the 32 ready for this event, which included changing the engine, diff and suspension for this. We had a wicked day even though i destroyed the car in the process, lol.

It started with the power steering locking up at random times, even though we checked it, solution was pump was giving up but nothing we could do but carry on.

Next was the clutch master leaking fluid and putting air into the system, so we just had to bleed it every time i came back into the pits, Big thanks to Danny Neville for his car mat to soak up fluid of the drivers footwell.

Clutch slave cylinder was jamming, pin kept popping out, making gear changes a nightmare

Then then engine breather pipe from the rocker started to spit oil out!!!!!!

In the semi final the car had stalled for no reason, managed to get it started and won by couple hundreds of a second.

The final againest Luke, as we lined up and  chatted we said it was very familar and we had been here many times before.

All I was hoping, that the car would last for 2 more runs, it did just, but was a bitch to drive, good effort put in by Luke and a well deserved win, and I was very happy with a 2nd place and so were all my pit crew.

After recieving my trophy I got Gavin ( 1 of the mechanchics) to drive the car from the track back to the pit, when i arrived, I saw both of my mechanics standing at the car shaking there heads.

both of them laughed as I walked up, I asked what was so funny, both said they could not belive i had even got as far in the compition with the car as i did, The list reads a bit like your weekly shopping list of things that need fixing, but at least I got till October to get them done.

Had a wicked day, and a big thanks to Monster for putting on the event, and the FBS crew.
