GAZ Adjustable Coilover Dampers for Triumph Herald and Spitfire

Back in the 1960s the Triumph Herald and the Spitfire were considered pretty sophisticated with their all-independent suspension, but the early models suffered from wheel tuck-under that created sudden, and usually alarming, oversteer. This was eventually corrected on later Spits but for Triumph owners seeking better handling GAZ Dampers will add an extra level of controllability with the added advantage of adjustable damper rates and the same units will fit Spitfire, GT-6 and Herald models alike.
The dampers have integral spring platforms and adjustable bump and rebound rates that can be altered by means of an easily accessible knob on the side of the units.

GAZ can set the dampers up for general road use and they will also be suitable for occasional track slaloms and sprint use, or they can be set up for serious classic racing use.

A gas cell in the outer reservoir helps prevent cavitation under enthusiastic use.

GAZ GP dampers feature a zinc plated body to keep them looking good and working well for long into the future.
All units are individually tested before leaving the factory and are covered by a 2 year warranty.

The GAZ coilover dampers will fit the GT-6 MkI - III, the Spitfire all models from MkI to Mk IV  and all Herald models. Fronts retail at £65.06 each while the rears retail at £55.03. Prices are plus VAT. Height adjustable spring platforms for the front and rear are also available to special order. Springs are supplied separately according to customer’s spring rate requirement.

This should be a great meet on Sunday with some excellent cars attending. It's a great drive down & a beautiful setting to see some Supercars in. Best to get there at 7.30am at the latest as it can get busy, particularly as it looks like good…See More
