Most people reading this blog will be aware that recently Formula D and internet sensation Ryan Tuerck was over in the UK to compete in Round 4 of the British Drift Championship in the Maxxis Tyres sponsored Team Japspeed Lexus IS200. For the past week or so, countless Facebook pages have been inundating you with images, although none better than Fueltopia's own Dan Fegent.
But what you may not know is that Fueltopia managed to get together with Ryan and his crew and arranged a little day trip to Driftland. However getting the guys to Driftland would be pointless if we couldn't get him something to drive.
Step in Kyle Chisholm from Chizfab. Even though he was out of the country, he was kind enough to offer up his Jumanji Nights BMW 325 for Ryan to run the wall in. Although Kyle had left a small contract on the dash for Ryan to sign before he could hit the track.
With Ryan taken care of, we had to get some guys for him to drive with. Step in Fueltopia favourites GarageFuckHouse.
The GFH guys rocked up at Driftland ready for a day of close driving and mega wall running. For Rocco (pictured above) it was only his second time out at Driftland in his SR20 powered E30.
Now this is normally the bit where I would go into copious amounts of detail about who done what and what went down, but I'm not throwing out any spoilers of the Tuerck'd episode. All i will say is there was some awesome close driving and the guys where definitely inspired to push themselves and there cars to the limits.
The only nugget I will let you in on is that Ryan was given one instruction before he stepped out on track.
"If you want to sign the wall, You've got to run the wall"
As you can see, he duly obliged. I'm willing to bet that his signature has now become an outside clipping point for everyone taking on the now famous Driftland wall.
And that is basically where I'm going to leave it just now, although, the moment the episode drops expect a "behind the scenes" look at what went down and how it happened. It was without a doubt one of the finest days so far in Driftland's short, but amazing history.
Everyone here at Fueltopia would like to thank everyone involved with making Ryan and his team's visit such a success. The guys really made it an incredible day and one that will not quickly be forgotten. Also a huge thank you everyone at the British Drift Championship, Maxxis Tyres and Team Japspeed for bringing Ryan to the UK and allowing us to piggy-back this day on his trip.
