So the British Drift Championship returned once again to Lydden hill race track and what an awesome weekend it was!
It all started off with picking up fellow Fueltographer Dave Cox and heading down to the track.
Unfortunately both Dave and I missed Teeside so we couldn't wait to get back on track and shoot some drifting..
We got there with plenty of time so we could have a wander around and catch up with some of the other guys before heading trackside..
So saturday was practice and qualifying for the drivers. For us its good to see how the drivers are going to cope with the layout of the track. I know you may think "hold on its the same as RD1!" but you would be wrong.... they had moved the clipping points for the drivers.
So it was going to be fun to see how the drivers were going to adapt to the changes.
Time to head trackside..
BonBon going flat out round the last corner.
Luke Woodham was on top form over the weekend, getting in some good runs and a massive improvement over RD1..
Paul smith in the japspeed S15 smoking up the MAZ1 drift tyres..
It was good to see Baggsy back out in the S13 tearing up the track after the little mishap at RD1!
Matt Samuel in the Carloans 4U 300zx loves throwing it into the corners......backwards..
Marc Huxley in the volvo..
Wayne Keeber in the CMR Soarer..
It didn't go well for all the drivers, Adam Weeden decided he didn't like his bumpers..
Also the Police turned up and were very interested in Marc Huxley's volvo! Maybe they wanted it to be a Police car??
Dan fitting a chin cam to Luke Woodhams helmet.
The Japspeed crew.
Tony Walker's bad ass PS.... I love this car...
John Glaister from Team Lassa pulling hard
Matt Tilyard Vs Adam Weeden..
Richard Grindrod Vs Chris Hawkins.
Jack Tonkin Vs Polo
Polo went through and was up against Dan Firmager..
Super Pro time.....
Paul Smith Vs David Waterworth.
Shane Lynch Vs Wayne Keeber.
Wayne Keeber Vs David Waterworth..
Marc Huxley Vs Phil Morrison..
The battle that everyone has been talking about and what a battle it was!!
Stephen Biagioni Vs Mark Luney..
Unfortunately Baggsy got Knocked out and Mark went through, it wasn't going to be a easy battle for Marks next contender...Phil Morrison
I must say after every round and every year more and more people come to watch the event and there is no doubt that they all love it..
This now brings me to the end but it wouldn't be complete with out a load of burn outs for all the super pro drivers after a awesome day..
I hope you have enjoyed my write up and pictures of the weekend as much as I have!
I would just like to say a massive thank you to everyone that makes these events possible its so awesome to be part of such a wicked community..
Thanks again for looking and il catch up with you all soon...
