BDC Licence day at Silverstone.
very early start up at 4.45am, loaded the car on the trailer by torchlight at 5.30 and away we went. Arrived at Silverstone at 7am very cold and blowing a gale. luke went off for the drivers briefing at 8.30 came back nervous and apprehensive. 39 drivers split into 2 groups, luke in the 2nd group having a chance to watch first, although he would have prefered to have gone first eager to get going. There were two forty five minute practice sessions before judging commenced. Having 1 practice run and then 3 judged runs. Then a free for all practice session whilst waiting for the results. (quote of the day: luke said he could hear his heart beating above the noise of his car before his first judged run) Good news luke obtained a semi-pro licence. Well done Luke. Only 13 out of the 39 were successful. Big thanks to Garage D, Nur.motorsport and James. Also a thank you to my wife for the hot food and drinks thoughout the day.

It was an epic day! Definite thanks for the warm food and teas all day was brass monkeys!
Luke drove well all day and put in some great driving displays. Hope the rest of the site can get involved an back him as he enters bigger comps than FBS on 2012. FT famalia
