Gymkhana GRID France

Finally the time had come for the first round of the Gymkhana GRID tour. It was time to stop with the planning and see how the event that has taken months to put together would run in real time rather than on paper. 

Meeting the crew at 01.00 it was time to embark on the 11hr road trip to Clermont in France. Having been up since the following morning the no-sleep insanity started to kick in on route. 

To mark our route, we used graphics to stickerbomb our path home :) Just before 6pm that evening we arrived on site to finally see the location - it was amazing. The Monster Energy rig was already in place and the track was going to be laid out on the Friday morning - ready for the battles of the weekend. 

The first person out on track to test was Buttsy Butler - the dude was having it large and shredded enough rubber to let us see how the track would flow - as expected, the results were good. 

Some local drivers started to turn up through the afternoon and by Saturday morning the ranks were busy with contenders!

The action was non-stop all weekend and the video will be ready in the next few days - make sure you check out the Monster Energy page to see it first - I'm sure I'll get to update my blog as I go, but I'm on limted wifi and connections.
