jap power project gs300

hi my names dan i brought a lexus gs300 off my friend for a nice respectable £900 for a project car as i cant drive due to medical reasons  till aug/ september time nxt year 2012 so need somethink that will keep me busy till then so i decided to but a lexus had lots of cars in the past but never a lexus my first struggle was finding parts that i could buy as i found out theres hardly any parts avalible in the uk for my car so i orderd some bits from abroad any way enough chat heres some pics hope you all like it 

how i brought the car nice a clean but crying out to be modified

hids fitted 

rear parking camera fitted 

7 inch touch screen headunit with rear park camera / mp3 /dvd/ipod/pc connection/world wide web /blue tooth/sd card/and satalite navigation/ and phone so plenty of gadgets to play with :-) 

fitted 12inch lanzar sub nicely tucked away behind the boot  in-between the 2 rear headrest as you do lol 

very powerfull pyle amp and a 17 farrard power cap the wood has now been moved out and amps and power cap are being fitted or rear of boot lid with a 7 inch tv 

i then spent a whole day celaning all 4 wheels of what must have been a good few months worth of baked on brake dust but was worth the effort in the end 

car and wheels nicely cleaned for one last time now the fun begins 

orderd my new erebuni side skirts and when they arrived fro japan i fitted the new side skirts nice and easy job 

ignore the front indicators there out bein worked on as no one seems to sell clear front indicators at all so i took them apart to take the orange reflector out pics be up when fitted back on the car 

orderd the rear erebuni bumper arrived today so fitted it on the car wasnt easy took a lot of fidling but got there in the end  note exhuast are missing as getting new ones once i decide on what ones to get was thinking 2x oval or 2x jap cans what do you lot think ???

orderd the new erebuni front bumper from japan and been told will take till the 10th april to arrive in the uk :(

cant wait for it to arrive :-)

orderd a custom bonnet aswell should be picking it up mid march once arrives in uk 

also orderd rear jdm lights from japan agian so got ages to wait for them to arrive :-(

got to decide on a what rear spoiler to get still 

still got to decide weather to change the 18 inch alloys for some deeper dish ones or respray the alloys 

i have a few ideas 

gold rim white lip ??

white lip black rim ???

or could just got black rim and leave lip chrome ??

black rim gold lip 

so far i like the gold wheel white lip and the black wheel white lip but still cant make my mind up any suggestions ??

dash wood bits on front and rear doors and surronds have been coverd in carbon fibre the wood look was horrible ans so not staying lol looks so much better now 

thats bout it for now still got lots to do tho 

turbo conversion / if i can find a decent manual gear box be good as want to do manual conversion if not will stay auto 

got to order the front top and lower strut braces and rear top and lower strut braces 

and decide on what exhaust to get and weather to decat it or not 

also maybe a retrim on the leather or new recling bucket seats in the front and possibly a roll cage fitted 

and decide weather to cover the front and rear bumper side skirts and bonnet in carbon wrap or not ??

also de-badged the boot aswell

today i decided to get ried ther old spoiler and fill the holes with fibre glass then lots and lots of sanding and i mean lots all by hand aswell 

put the fibre glass on and as my rear badeges have holes behind them had to fibreglass them to 

lots and lots of sanding and the boot started to look much better 

then i put on some body filler to smooth it all off 

then applied primer paint and sanded down till smooth 

took a whole day to have one side the boot smoothed off remember im doin the sanding by hand  gonna start on the other side tomorrow then do the sanding to smooth where the boot badges where 

i also decided to debage the front grill and now just waiting for the bulbs to turn up for my indicators and wait for the front bumper to arrive 

will update again once some more work has been done :)

todays update same as yesterday really lol

finnaly finished smoothing the pass boot where the holes for the old spoiler where as the new spoiler dosent cover them up :(

still got to smooth the other bits off tho that will be done tomorrow now as i went out and got a sander to make things much easier for me 

any way heres the progress 

the paint is not the correct colour for the car was just to hide the primer for now 

the new rear spoiler has been orderd  let me no what you think ??

should be ready to pick up when my front bumper and bonnet arrive in uk

more updates soon as more work has been done 

updates for 2 day smoothed the center of the boot where the lexus badge was

also started smoothin g the rear bumper where it use to have side reflectors

not quite finsihed yet still needs a bit more smoothing down and then i will be happy 

still got to sand down and smooth the passenger rear side boot  and sand down the drivers side boot bit aswell but its getting there 

sprayed the front fill mesh as was looking tatty 

still lots more to do but got plenty of time to do them in il update agian when some more progress is done :)

thinking ordering these wings from Japan what people think they wont arrive till mid July as missed the boat my other stuff is coming on 

finally new indicator bulbs arrived so fitted them and changed took the orange bit out of my indicators took ages but well worth the effort

then i decided to finish the boot smoothing only on the lip of the boot so far is done

just got to smooth the top of the boot where the old holes where and sand and smooth the rear side bumper where the reflectors where 

also as it was my birthday yesterday i treated my self and orderd the front wings cant wait for them to arrive
