More progress :) I have been told that i may be able to have a free carbon wing so we can test out wing profile etc.
It was supposed to go on someone elses race car but he hasnt been great in contact.
From the testing they have done so far with the style of mine and the other car he found the air around the roll bars and central intake disrupted the air over the rear wing.
This led him to leave the central section of the wing fixed and the end sections…

Porsche GT3 grey/black for the main body (where the white is in this pic), then gt3 orange on the other bits (where the yellow/blue is). Then do the wheels either orange or black . . . . …

I thought i'd steal the chance to get on with the bodywork so i could get the respray done in time for the Fueltopia Toy Run on the 8th Dec!
Started with the front vents - these are a pain in the backside and when you turn dirt and rubbish is flicked up towards the cabin - even worse in the rain!
I was given a few different style of ducts to try out and have found a decent solution to the problem:

Thought i may as well start a build thread as i plan to make some changes to this over the coming months, this is my new toy.
Its an MK GT1 it was one of about 10 built before someone bought the rights to the car and turned it in to the now Spire GTR.
Powered by a 1340cc hayabusa engine, standard is about 180hp. Doesnt sound much i hear you say?
Well how about that in something that weighs 420kgs
That should put the 0-60 time in a low 3second…

Needs a few bits and bobs adjusting but i do want to keep the originality of the car!!! Hoping to take her to a show this year and put on a stand, but not sure whether she'll look good enough :/ x
